Zhenya Tsanev is the Senior Program Coordinator for MSC Academic & Student Affairs. For the past seven years at Northwestern, she has supported graduate students through academic advising, registration, communications, and community-building initiatives. She is committed to creating an engaging and supportive student experience that helps students succeed academically and professionally.
Before joining Northwestern, Zhenya built a diverse career in communications and community engagement. She worked as a broadcast producer leading an international news team and later served the Bulgarian community in the Chicago area through outreach and engagement initiatives.
Zhenya holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from Webster University, a Bachelor’s degree in Public Speech and Communication from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts in Sofia, Bulgaria, and a Project Management Certificate from Northwestern University.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, exploring new cultures, volunteering in her community, and spending time with family and friends.
